Directions and parking for the studio: driving from each bridge, BART and the F streetcar, ferries, and rideshare, plus the street spots that actually work nearby.
The studio is at 50 Francisco St, 3rd Floor, in Waterfront Plaza on North Beach's waterfront edge, between Kearny St and The Embarcadero. We sit five minutes from the Embarcadero and around the corner from Levi's Plaza. Metered street parking on Francisco St and Battery St is easiest before 10am, and public garages run all along The Embarcadero.
Getting here
Six ways in, each one timed.
Driving from the Bay Bridge
Exit at Fremont St / The Embarcadero and follow the waterfront north until Francisco St. About 10 minutes from the bridge, all on surface streets with the bay on your right.
Driving from the Golden Gate Bridge
Take Lombard St east, then Columbus Ave toward the waterfront. About 15 minutes bridge to door. Francisco St meets the waterfront just below Telegraph Hill.
Driving from 101 or 280 south
Take King St to The Embarcadero and follow it north past the Ferry Building and the piers. Francisco St is on your left, two blocks past Levi's Plaza.
BART and Muni
Ride BART or Muni Metro to Embarcadero Station, then walk 15 minutes up the waterfront or take the F Market & Wharves streetcar to the Greenwich St stop, a 4 minute walk from our door. Muni buses 8, 30, 39, 45, and 47 all serve North Beach and Kearny St.
Ferry
Oakland, Alameda, Vallejo, Larkspur, Sausalito, and Tiburon ferries land at the SF Ferry Building, about 15 minutes from the studio on foot along The Embarcadero. Plan connections at 511.org.
Rideshare
Set your drop-off to 50 Francisco St and step out at the Francisco St entrance of Waterfront Plaza. From most of downtown the ride runs about 10 minutes.
Parking

Your directions and parking plan stays simple. Metered street parking on Francisco St and Battery St is your best move before 10am. Later in the day the blocks fill with neighborhood traffic, so budget a few extra minutes or head straight for a garage.
Public garages run along The Embarcadero, and the lots around Levi's Plaza sit two minutes from our door. All of them leave you a short, flat walk to the studio. If you plan to record right at opening, morning street parking plus a coffee in North Beach is the calm way to start; our North Beach studio page covers the neighborhood in detail.
Guests arriving separately can use the same plan, or take a rideshare to the Francisco St entrance. If you want to see the room before booking a session, a free 15 minute studio tour is the easiest first visit.

Enter Waterfront Plaza from Francisco St and head up to the 3rd floor. Your engineer meets you there, and the room is pre-lit and ready when you walk in. Arriving early is fine: the building courtyard and nearby cafes make an easy landing spot.

Metered street parking on Francisco St and Battery St is easiest before 10am. After that, head for the public garages along The Embarcadero or the lots around Levi's Plaza, all within a short walk.
How do I reach the studio by BART?+
